Securitas hf. was founded in 1979 and has been a pioneer in the field of security and guarding services from the very beginning. It is still Iceland’s leading company in the field and strives to provide only state-of-the-art services and complete solutions.

The company offers a wide range of security services channeled through three business units, namely Manned Security, Alarm Monitoring and Technical Department. These units all share a mutual office and overhead. The total number of employees is approximately 400, out of which about 60 are technicians and 25 are in the sales team. Top management personnel have been with the company for up to 30 years.

The Technical Department sells, installs, inspects and maintains various types of security systems that offer users emergency services around the clock. The range of systems sold is quite wide and the company provides the market with burglar alarms, fire alarms, fire extinguisher systems - both stationary and mobile, access control systems, CCTV systems, care phone systems, and warden call systems.

Among these are for example DSC, Avigilon, ITC, HIKVision, Mobotix, GE/UTC, TYCO, Bosch Telenorma, Telenot, Johnson Control, Videotronic, Mitsubishi, Vicon, Notifier, Gloria, Telelarm, Iridian, Scantronic, Schneider Electric, Mirasys, J&S, Dallmeier, Cosmotron and Axis.
